Founded by Reno’s own Spike McGuire, Loud As Folk began as a monthly songwriters showcase and has since grown into a touring revue, a recording studio, a radio hour, and a creative movement. The series has featured an eclectic mix of punk-gone-folk performers, underground legends, and fiercely original voices—from Kevin Seconds to Vic Ruggiero and The Sam Chase.
Known for spotlighting true songwriters in their purest form, each Loud As Folk showcase is a unique blend of storytelling, grit, and stripped-down soul.
